Q: How do I know if I should hire a VA?
A: Your business is growing but you can't keep up with everything you want to do, have to do, and know you should do. You're feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, frustrated, and possibly even a little guilty because you know your business is not running optimally, reaching its potential, and meeting the goals you've set for it.

Q: When does it make sense financially for my business to invest in a VA?
A: Your business is thriving, but you know you're leaving money on the table because you just can't do it all and you're financially able to invest in your business to help move it to the next level.

Q: What if I'm afraid a VA will make more work for me? (I started my business so I don't have to manage people!)
A: To start there will be a bit more work on your side - you'll need to gather information about your business so your VA can do the job they are hired for.

A good VA will step in and start to manage and perform the tasks you've assigned them with as little or as much input as you would like to give. You'll receive updates on what's happening with your business which is a reassuring reminder that you can do what you need to do.

Q: What if I'm not happy with my new VA?
B: A professional VA will generally provide you with a contract that lays out terms for terminating the relationship because sometimes it turns out it's not a good fit for either side. I start all my clients with a 90-day trial period to make sure we're happy with each other, with the work being performed, the direction received, and that the package you've chosen is right for what you need.

Q: Do I have to train my new VA?
A: Possibly, if you have specific systems you use for your business or standard operating systems in place for performing certain tasks and procedures. Most VAs have a wide range of skills and are more than willing to learn what's needed to support your business.

For instance, if a VA says they can perform a task (such as using a specific Social Media scheduling tool), they are either already proficient or willing to learn on their own time. Note: Most VAs will consider learning your systems or operating procedures as billable time.

Q: How will things change for me and my business if I hire a VA?
A: Chances are you'll start sleeping better! You'll also have more time to devote to the reasons you started your business in the first place. You may find you have a renewed excitement and passion for your business. You'll get back to what you're good at and feel good about the choices you're making to move your business forward. ​And, don't forget the benefits of working less, relaxing more, and having time for self-care that you may have shelved.
